First-level Master Discipline in Civil Engineering
In 2006, civil engineering was approved with a master’s degree. There are five second-level disciplines in civil engineering, such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and protection engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, and civil engineering survey. Over the years, centered around the national construction industry and local economy development, the discipline focuses on the new structural system and calculation theory, soft soil foundation and foundation engineering, engineering structure disaster prevention and mitigation theory and technology, structural health monitoring, engineering structure inspection and reinforcement technologyl, and achieved remarkable results. There are 124 teachers in this discipline, including 54 professors and 15 doctoral supervisors, with a doctoral rate of 88.6%. This discipline has trained more than 800 academic postgraduates capable of studying and developing key technologies in the field of civil engineering. These high-level talents cultivated for the national construction industry will played an important role in local economic development.
Master’s degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering
In 2003, the degree authorization program for architecture and civil engineering was approved. In 2015, it was approved as the “National Joint training Base for Postgraduates majoring in demonstration Engineering”. There are three second-level directions in the field of architecture and civil engineering: structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and protective engineering. Over the years, it has focused on green, energy-saving and environment-friendly civil engineering. It has given full play to the advantages of civil engineering. Breakthroughs have been made in the key technologies of modern building industrialization, structural earthquake resistance, damping and vibration control, soft soil foundation and foundation engineering, engineering structure inspection and reinforcement. At present, there are 124 teachers in the discipline, including 54 professors and 15 doctoral supervisors, with a doctoral rate of 88.6%. This discipline has trained more than 1000 postgraduate students with solid foundation, wide range of knowledge and strong engineering practice ability, who are engaged in engineering technology and engineering management.
