On June 1st, the celebration was held for the 110th Anniversary of the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology. Prof. Li Guochang, dean of the School of Civil Engineering of our university, was invited to attend the celebration. She congratulated and sent a calligraphy written by Professor Mu Cunyuan. The calligraphy works express the good wishes of our teachers and students to the 110th anniversary of the University, and our expectations for the future cooperation and common development of the two universities.

The School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology has a long history of running a school. With more than a hundred years of inheritance and development, the school adheres to the school-running philosophy of "learning with excellence, practising with excellence, creating with excellence". The school has gradually formed an academic environment of putting people first and a pragmatic and enterprising college spirit. The calligraphy work by Professor Mu Cunyuan of our university's Art and Design school shows that the Mechanics and Civil engineering college has gone through ups and downs, forged ahead to reach a new height over the past hundred years. It admires excellent students and the educational efforts of the school. The red seal in the lower left echoes with the mural at the west exit of the corridor of Shenyang Jianzhu University. Two sides of the mural are written with large seal scripts on bronze saying "There is joyful poetry and calligraphy indoor and no noisy horse and chariot outdoor", demonstrating our educational philosophy of still waters running deep and peaceful academic atmosphere that allow our students to enjoy the pleasure of knowledge learning and the charming of scientific researching.

Over the years, in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation in civil engineering have been carried out between our colleges and a profound friendship has been made. In the new era, we will make more high-level academic achievements and cultivate more talents through mutual learning, innovation cooperation, cultural communication, and scientific and technological exchanges between our two universities, and make more outstanding contributions to the development of China's civil construction industry.
