Safety Engineering (Undergraduate, 4 Years)

Safety course is a new comprehensive interdisciplinary subject. According to the requirements of the national major development strategy, the Safety Engineering is oriented to the whole industry, and features safety production management in the field of engineering construction, training and mastering safety scientific principles, industrial safety production technology and BIM application technology, and obtaining the basic training of modern safety engineers. Besides, it also cultivates applied senior engineering and management talents who can be engaged in safety technology and engineering, safety supervision and management, safety production and design, safety science and research, risk assessment and emergency rescue, safety education and training and other work combined with BIM technology.

Main courses: Safety Principle, System Safety Engineering, Safety Ergonomics, Safety Regulations, Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Fire and Explosion Protection, Electric Safety,  Machinery Safety, Principle and Technology of Safety Inspection, Civil Engineering Structure, Construction of Civil Engineering, Construction Safety, etc.

After graduation, students can engage in technical and management work in safety management and supervision departments of governments at all levels, industrial and trade enterprises, safety evaluation, fire control, insurance and other institutions, as well as teaching and scientific research work in institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes.
